Tunnels Snorkeling Tour

This tour starts at 8:00am from the Hotel and La Laguna with our transport, which leads us to the pier of Puerto Villamil. Here you will board a boat for 45 minutes towards Cabo Rosa (Tunnels) where we can see formations of lava which have cooled on contact with the sea and formed massive tunnels full of life. We will have a tour on the arches for approximately 30 minutes where you can be up close to the Blue footed boobies, often with chicks or sitting on eggs whilst looking down in pristine, crystal clear waters.

There are two snorkel spots that are normally used during this tour. One is El Finado and the other the Tunnels themselves, where we can look closely at Tintoreras endemic Galapagos sharks, penguins, sea horses, stingrays, giant sea turtles, schools of colorful fish, sea lions and much more.

After experiencing the world beneath the surface, passengers will enjoy a small box lunch consisting of a cheese/ham sandwich, a snack bar and a cold drink, before returning on the speed boat back to Puerto Villamil, where transport will be awaiting us to take us back to our respective hotels.

Additional Information

It will be necessary for passengers to use walking shoes or sneakers (closed shoes) to cross the volcanic rocks, swimsuit, sunscreen, waterproof camera, cap and a small bottle of water (no sandals, hiking boots, documents, money or valuables).

Passengers will receive as part of their program snorkeling equipment (mask, snorkel, fins, included) and have the option to rent a wetsuit for an extra $5.00 USD.

Please be ready 15 minutes prior the pickup schedule time at the lobby of your hotel.
