Zhaojun Tomb is the resting place of Wang Zhaojun, 6km south of Hohhot city. It has been listed among the eight most popular attractions in Hohhot. Dazhao Lamasery to the west of Xilitu Zhao, is the largest and well preserved lamasery in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia. Dazhao literally means “Wu Liang” in Chinese and “Grand Monastery” in Mongolian.
Dazhao Lamasery - The Dazhao Lamasery, a Tibetan Buddhist temple, was constructed in 1578 (the sixth year of the Wanli reign period of the Ming Dynasty). The main buildings in the monastery include, from south to north, the gate, Heavenly King's Hall, Bodhi Passage Hall, Sutra Hall, Buddhist Hall, Nine-room Building and eastern and western chambers. It is the largest and best-preserved wooden structure complex in Hohhot.
Tomb of Wang Zhaojun - 9km south of Hohhot, the tomb was built in the Han Dynasty (206 BC-AD 220), 33 m high, with an base area of 13,000 sq m. The tomb is covered by green grasses, hence the name the "Green Tomb". The magnificent tomb looks like an appealing painting in the misty black color. It is one of the eight major tourist attractions in Hohhot.

Itinerary
Today's tour starts at the Zhaojun Tomb. Wang Zhaojun was one of the four well-known beauties in ancient China. She was born in Han Dynasty and was selected to imperial palace for her goodliness. In front of the tomb, bronze statues of Wang Zhaojun and her husband (Khan), depict a vivid picture of them riding horses and talking to each other intimately.
Then we will go to visit the Dazhao Lamasery. As a famous tourist attraction, Dazho lamasery boastd of its grandeur palace, vivid sculpture, fancy frescos, numerous scriptures, mystic dance and Buddhism music. The "Three Marvelous Treasures"of Dazhao Monastery are Silver Buddha, Dragon Sculpture, as well as Fresco, the relics of Ming Dynasty with high artistic value.
