Stroll through the narrow corridors of yesterday, and unveil the beginnings of a New World. Learn about the oldest colonial city, erected in the fifteenth century, starting by the Palace of Diego Columbus, building which now houses the museum Alcazar de Colon. Walk one of the oldest streets of the American continent and the first of the city of Santo Domingo, Calle Las Damas and then visit the National Pantheon, a monument of great historical significance, once church of the Jesuits and later becoming the final resting place of notable Dominican historical figures.
Visit the Parque Colon, which served as the main center of celebration for the society of the colonial era, as well as the famous pedestrian street El Conde. Pay tribute to the first cathedral in America, where the fervent catholic faith was born.

It is important to take note of the dress code in the Cathedral of Santo Domingo. Ladies should wear skirts or long pants and blouses. Men should wear long pants and shirts or collared shirts.
