In this tour you will see Old San Juan’s most significant historic religious buildings, sites, and sacred spaces and learn the unique history of the origins of Christianity in the New World.
Start the morning by joining your guide on a visit to the second oldest city in the New World. Then you will visit the most important churches, chapels and convents of this Spanish colonial city.
Learn about the symbolism and meaning of the architectural styles, spatial elements, religious art and relics that have witnessed the Puerto Rican faith and the advance of Christianity in America for more than 500 years.
You will learn about the construction materials and techniques used during the colonization period. You’ll learn about religious traditions, religious orders established in Old City, miracles and acts of faith that shaped the city then and now.
